Little Is Much Poem by Randall Barfield

Little Is Much

Rating: 5.0

Little Is Much

(For S.S. in Missouri)

I saw you in the window
You saw me in the street
I thought I’d never meet you
You thought me short and sweet

The next day there you sat again
When I came walking by
The steadfast little man on watch
Just like the FBI

A sudden whim surprised me
To turn out bad or good:
If you were mine and I were yours
We’d live life as two should

I stopped and entered to inquire
That dreary noon so foggy
And paved the way for boundless joy
When I asked how much was the doggy.
