Little Things Poem by Michael Lampp

Little Things

It's the little things in life that make it worth it.
Like when I write a poem and you say it's perfect.
When I see a girl with really pretty eyes.
I ask her on a date.. she said yes.. surprise.
When we grow up and find out just who we are.
Lay next to someone special and stare at the stars.
Find things to do, never get that bored.
Finally find time to speak to the lord.
When you see the weak sword, and the powerful pen.
See the error of your ways and wash away the sin.
Find a really nice person, not just a sweet talker.
A really kind soul, like Theresa Walker.
Sit at the table, with a hot meal to eat
Happy for my house and the shoes on my feet.
When the gas pump stops at that perfect spot.
That's right, twenty bucks right on the dot.
When we grow up and care about what we say.
Wake up in the morning and cherish everyday.
When we find that one bullet taking friend.
Or when a poem with a message comes to an end.
