Little White Dress Poem by Christal Carpenter

Little White Dress

Rating: 0.5

In a little white dress
She knocked upon his door
In a little white dress
She wanted pain no more
And in her little white dress
She looked upon his face
In her little white dress
She turned in disgrace
In her little white dress
She walked her tiny steps away
In her little white dress
I guess it wasn’t today

This little girl
In a little white dress
Her little heart
With her little tears
Her little smile
And her not so little pain
Her little hope
Of him loving her
Her little dreams all broken up
Her little life just a blur

With a little white letter
He knocked upon her door
With a little white letter
He wanted her to feel pain no more
And with his little white letter
He looked upon her face
He took the little white letter
And placed it in her tiny fist
With a little white letter
He walked his big steps away
Holding a little white letter
I guess he wanted her that day

This grown man
With a little white letter
His little heart
With his little tears
His little smile
And his not so little pain
His little hope
Of her wanting him
His little dreams all broken up
Her little life just a blur

In a little white dress
She knocked upon his door
In a little white dress
She felt pain no more
And in her little white dress
She took his friendly hand
In a little white dress
She knew she loved her dad
In a little white dress
They walked there different steps away
In a little white dress
A miracle happened that day
