Living Ground - Poem by Lance Gong
Sleeping quietly, safe and sound,
then Bam you're wide awake.
What is this, for Heaven's sake,
this mass of shaking ground
Building are jerking all around,
and trees are toppling down.
All the plates just shake and shake,
and the terror they cause, the terror they make,
IS the deadly earthquake
Now the disaster is all gone,
Mother Earth singing her evil song.
Everyone's mourning all day long,
All the way from dusk to dawn
Quiet and silent
Then another shake.
