Living In The Beautiful Silence Of All Roots. Poem by RIC BASTASA

Living In The Beautiful Silence Of All Roots.

forgive my own
selfishness

i am the eagle
that flies alone
above the storm

forgive my
own selfishness
i have nothing to do
with you
and you have nothing to
do with me

forgive me
my pains are mine alone
my songs

forgive my aloofness
as i have kept my own sweetness
in this bitterness

forgive me for my
newly found happiness
alone in this journey
alone in this discovery

to love myself
to be my own best friend
to speak to no one
to avoid everyone

in this secret garden
shall grown my
silent beans
my white carnations
my red chrysanthemums
my violets and
ferns

this creep in this creepy world
living in the beautiful silence
of all roots.
