Living In The Day-By-Day Poem by Garner Stockton

Living In The Day-By-Day

Pines
Callow green
Unable to be
Seen

Pins and needles,
Make a winze
Between the earth,
And the fetal souls
Of those who lost control

Greenery, indulge thyself.
To be plenary self
Though many grow,
Most look to the gallow tree
Never to be seen

Sorrow emerges victorious,
The brain inglorious
You have lost yourself
To the devil himself

Do not be heavy-hearted.
For the sea of tears
Will be parted

A new day in the pines will emerge
With ferns and daisies
All across the blood-soaked floor
