Living On Hope - Poem by Katheryn Foley

Behind closed doors what could happen?

Behind closed doors more than you can imagine,

The fights the love the intimacy, The light the glove the simplicity,

A secret life with a lock and key a great life waiting to be revealed,

Who you are and who your meant to be are different and the same,

One cannot tell the barriers that they claim,

The distance between you and me are near and far,

A beautiful life behind high walls, a hand that takes a lifetime of calls,

It depends on who you are to find a way to become all,

Make believe its just pretend but you can decide when to end,

Getting older don't stop there dream until you are unaware of the burdens of this world,

Will your dreams fall short of the one you thought you had?

You will never know until you try. Don't give up this special time,

You will never get it back. One wish can come true,

Hope is the answer that I cling to,

One day my wish will come true One time we will be and never again will you leave
