Locked Away - Poem by jerica singleton
Time is of the essence
And the beauty of the beast
Is slowly fading
The walls she created to keep the strangers out as created a monster within
She is trapped in the endless emotions that surround her
Blinded by the tunnel
She only sees what she wants
And the rainstorm she's creating
Is flooding her heart even more
As the walls start to crack and ground is starting to buckle
She realizes, she is destruction
Causing chaos and havoc
With all she touches
Modern day, Madusa
As her love ignites fire
Her pain turns it into stone
Wishing she could reverse the curse
She hides in the darkness
Waiting on him to find her
Only to save her from her

Set her free! For he has found her. Sometimes I feel that exact same way.
But time after time you have to peek over the wall sometimes. Like what you've done here, great read (Report) Reply
