the fear still remains
I feel something faint
my wounds burn
as mush as my soul will
something takes you from inside
something that must abide
regrets that it would send
something that will stay til the end
a word, I scream
a life, I dream
my pain was meant for laughter
my death was meant for shame
myself
that is dying
will never reclaim
sorrow, is all the same
my voice was meant for pleading
my heart was meant for bleeding
my eyes you forsake
a fate I'll never take
sincere misery
forget the treachery
oh, your majesty
I lay down my life
forget the cause
put our lives on pause...
