Lone Plumeria Poem by Frederick Kesner

Lone Plumeria

yesterday at dawn
the moment a cloud-filled sky
blanketed grey
my eyelids scroll to see
and feel you waiting, free
through this jungle and
its concrete mountains
no longer away from thee
a second hand orbits
on poker faced landscape
thought without thinking
sight without seeing
listen without hearing
solitary, anonymous,
scrunched forward
melancholy doldrum
on a dawn as dark as night
there shall be no burnished
dusk or starlit twilight
nor shall buds blossom forth
and on arrival, upon your urn
shall alight a lone plumeria
and a crystal tear
