Loneliness Poem by Kasun Wickrama Arachchie

Loneliness

Loneliness grows around me Nuwara Eliya city sleeps

So does snow

Even the wind gets off from ship and started walking on the shore

Me and a candle, stuck inside four walls

So lone

Such a torture

You are not here to sleep me with those lullaby voice

You are not here to serve coffee with a kiss every morning

When dust fell in my eyes, you are not here to lick it away

You are not here to sooth the clouds in my mind

I am here and you are away

In this loneliness, moments feel like years

is away

How we became so

I write your name 100 times in my diary

Ants came at once, is your name so sweet like honey

The air is so chill

If you come dear

Even hot lava will froze in to ice

Come darling, once you are with me even fireballs become snow
