Loneliness Poem by Darren Harris

Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

Loneliness is like a cloud,
Floating across the sky,
Like a single tear rolling down a face,
As someone starts to cry,
Loneliness is like a child,
Who laughs but can’t stop crying,
Like the victims of a war,
Their all afraid of dying,
Loneliness is like a heart,
Whose strings have just been broken?
Like a prayer said all alone,
By a voice that’s softly spoken,
Loneliness is an unborn child,
Trapped within its mothers womb,
Like a butterfly waiting to escape,
From within its own cocoon,
Loneliness is an empty house,
Whose rooms are bare and cold?
Loneliness is living all alone,
Just waiting to grow old,
Loneliness is like a letter,
Written but never read,
Loneliness is being alive,
But wishing you were dead,
Loneliness is just been born,
Because then you start to die,
They say your whole life is in front of you,
Buy only DEATH is, so that’s a LIE.
