Loneliness - Poem by Sara E. Pratte

naked and cornered
moon shines through
a dusty window
stars peek into

tears trace
his face
blind rain falls
and wish to wake
and believe in dreams

the narrow path
a test
the sky breaks
pounding prevails
lonely smoke lingers

desperation and despair
cries rise
ricochet in the room
his frail fetal form

will come again
slightly tap tapping his cane
