Loneliness Poem by Indika Thushara Gamage

Loneliness

The girl who picks the moonlights
alone
wearing night bride flowers

for white deer and the poisonous snakes
Holding the darkness in her

By the extinguished flame
Smoke emanates from the gray
White flags hoisted before death
The sun is setting over the mountain
Her lament arises in a deserted lake.
