Lonely Mind, Stand Guard Poem by james watkin

Lonely Mind, Stand Guard

Lonely mind, stand guard
Against a provocative light.
The moon, she possesses it;
Too paralysing to fight.

Myths, like the mermaids'
Up from sea-grots that resound
Are telling I've conceded
To a sorceress tide-bound!
