Lonesome Poem by Asim Mahmood

Lonesome

Rating: 5.0

Drooping lifeless in my chair
Astray thoughts are at my care
Mind and body split in space
Can u hear the fate with timeless pace?

Silence deafening the surrounding strain
The quiet image reining the brain
Nay, don't speak, let the dream flow in rain
Let not the peace turn into pain

The clouds hanging over my heart
Sometimes rip it apart
But the unconquerable will never die
Because your eyes never lie

Love, hatred and other passions
Now don't need to be defined
Her glances tell a tale so refined

Now while I get on with my life
Hard-learned lessons are at strife
Life of regrets is not worth-living
But it's never too late to ‘thanksgiving'
