Long Silver Nails Poem by Nicole Gehrman

Long Silver Nails

Bang...
Bang, Bang...
Hmm...
soft voices on the otherside
long silver nails poking in from outta sight
being pounded into the door frame.
Bang...
Band, Bang...
Sigh...
more and more stopping me from getting out
the shadow of my keeper
shows under where the door meets floor.
Bang...
Bang, Bang..
Crying...
thinking he's keeping the monster locked up
can't hurt anyone
smiling cuz i no an escape
he will never no
won't even notice
Bang...
Bang, Bang...
Whimpering...
scared cuz he knows this will never hold me
eyes buring red with fire
bursting thru the blackness of the room
laughter escapes my mouth
and scares away the keeper
the keeper of my heart.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

That was really cool how you used the noise of the hammer and nail. I really enjoyed reading this. So deep.
