Longing Poem by chris schwartz

Longing

In Heaven, they Weep.Their tears fall like rain upon those who still long for them.Longing is such a cruel emotion. It carves deep into the souls of those who have learned that it is only felt through ignorance. But Humans are born of ignorance; It's shallow path plowed by the dirt from its roots and sowed by the machine of its experience in life. One cries hard, and long, in silence, though its screams echo loudly within. Finally, in the hour of grievance, they do listen, and cry, with their voices heard only by those who might understand. In Heaven, they still weep, restlessly awaiting their loved ones, to catch up, and hold them once again.
