Look Around Poem by Michael Peterson

Look Around

Rating: 5.0

Look around, what do you see?
The sky, a ceiling, the ground, the floor
Trees, shelves, a fence, a wall
Look around, what do you see?
A corner, in a corner, a sidewalk, a stairway
Amazing what you see when you look around
Look behind you, what do you see?
A smile, a frown, a surprise, a shocked face
People act differently when you do a quick look
Fun to try, shocking to see what people think
Some enjoy, others show anger
A few hello's, a bunch of what the hell?
Look behind you, what do you see?
Nothing, sometimes something
Beautiful, ugly, new or worn
Hard to believe, what can you see
When you open your eyes and see the world around
Many different views
Some the same, many different
One thing is you are the one to see it all
Just look around and see what the world
In the eyes, have plenty to see and to show you
