a silk cloth laid on a table
on a windless day
how do we forget
how it swallowed yesterday
the boat that carried
a family?
what sadness does the sea brings
what happiness today shall it bring?

How fickle Mother nature is. She provides for us. then takes away in the next instant. I lived in lima Peru in 1967 and saw the ground roll like the waves in the ocean. Twas overcome with the awe of it all..Agreat poem to remind me of that expirience in my life. Yo estaba lleno de miedo. Keep up the good work. John
