Lookin' For A Good Man Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

Lookin' For A Good Man

It happened one evening.
It was not so long ago.
It happened one evening.
It was not so long ago.
I heard my baby walking.
He walked right out the door.

I just sit here crying.
Lawd, I've got nowhere to go.
I just sit here crying.
No, I've got nowhere to go.
When my baby left me
He took my heart and soul.

I keep going to the window.
Lawd, I'm just staring at the night.
I keep going to the window.
Lawd, I'm just staring at the night.
I keep looking for a good man,
One who is gonna treat me right.

We can dream of our knight in shinning armour, it helps the pain. But not the longing. Good Luck they are out there but hidden from the natural eye. Patricia
