In the silent winter night
from a sea-shore hotel at Kanyakumari
sitting on the sprawling green lawn
I was gazing at the sky:
nocturnal sky replete with celestial bodies
planets and stars stealing the show
the incredible collection
the heavenly bodies reminding me
of my deceased parents
I discovered my father
through the Jupiter
and my mother
through the Venus
both were luminous bodies
emitting gentle lights
I was happy as I spotted them
as I stared at my parents
the moments so auspicious
the feelings so pure
the blessings so heart-touching
imprinted on my mind
Today
I cherish those events
in my morning prayer
as if my parents are alive.
