with a bang
is how a world shifts
with a crash
is how the frames fall
with a spill
is how the rug gets pulled
with a sigh
is how you say goodbye
I've nothing but fresh footprints
out of new doors
new smiling faces very likely hiding their nails
strange springs and surely soiled sheets
shouldering the load of my fragile head and
separated shoulders
past conquests
once celebrated and prideful rags
stained cotton blends
boxed and thought over wading in sorrow
I've nothing but old thoughts
wearing new clothes
my furry insecure muppet in a black tie
looking dapper
charming
manipulating
holding open the door and pulling out the chair
on our night out filled with anxiety
shakes and iron casted breaths
