Looking Glass Poem by Dr. Rani Mathew

Looking Glass

Oh! Mighty souls, towering aloft
Buoyant you are but
trite and stale I shrink
thy blistering radiance I shun
For, I think you know well
Where the shoe pinches

Oh! silly little underdogs
Thy languor and laboured steps
Proclaim a withering self
In my vicinage you droop
For, I think you knowwell
The gulf that keeps us apart

Looking glasses ….decisive
Images we give and take
Breeding species good or bad
DEAR Angels and vile devils
Bold or timid, clever or stupid
not born but made

Scrunch or nurture we choose
Strangle or fondle we opt
Let the cripple take up the pace
Or hold back the stallion
verdict is ours
Looking glasses ….decisive

reflect aseraph,flees the fiend
Reflect a gallant, dies out the coward
Echo anthem staysthe spirit
spice up the ravage, comes out the jewel
More angels we shall breed
More radiant the world shall be
Oh! Mighty souls, towering aloft
Buoyant you are but
trite and stale I shrink
thy blistering radiance I shun
For, I think you know well
Where the shoe pinches

Oh! silly little underdogs
Thy languor and laboured steps
Proclaim a withering self
In my vicinage you droop
For, I think you knowwell
The gulf that keeps us apart

Looking glasses ….decisive
Images we give and take
Breeding species good or bad
DEAR Angels and vile devils
Bold or timid, clever or stupid
not born but made

Scrunch or nurture we choose
Strangle or fondle we opt
Let the cripple take up the pace
Or hold back the stallion
verdict is ours
Looking glasses ….decisive

reflect aseraph,flees the fiend
Reflect a gallant, dies out the coward
Echo anthem staysthe spirit
spice up the ravage, comes out the jewel
More angels we shall breed
More radiant the world shall be
