Looking in my window
What would a person see?
A woman possessed of poise and grace
Diligently accomplishing all of her tasks
With patience and efficiency.
A mother cuddling a crying child,
Comfort and wisdom calming their soul,
Stroking their tears into tranquility.
Looking in my window
What would a person see?
A driven passionate madwoman
Chasing dreams and riches with no thought
Of those strewn in her path mercilessly.
A doubting, selfish, lazy human being
With no energy left to fight, sick of trying to be loved
Thinking greener pastures are a better place to be.
Looking in my window
I only see a reflection of me.
