Where are your thoughts alone at night?
When will your soul find peace?
Why does your flesh persist to fight?
When will the tension cease?
When disappointment floods the mind
When sadness wears a crown
When life’s long road seems so unkind
Defences tumble down
Fortresses crumble wall by wall
Replacing faith with doubt
We idly sit and watch them fall
Plaguing our souls through drought
Although we’ve heard that Heaven’s true
That God’s a living flame
We disregard the filth we do
Along our road of shame
Yet some may see through Jesus’ eyes
Wisdom has set them free
Knowledge reveals satanic lies
Till death has bent it’s knee
Let Jesus stop death’s evil flood
Let faith life’s hope revive
Let Jesus wash us in His blood
And make our soul alive
We’ll see our neighbours near and far
As Jesus Christ on high
We’ll tell them of The Morning Star
God’s Lamb who chose to die
We’ll see inside the truth first hand
We’ll witness unknown love
We’ll see as Christ and understand
Eternity above
