Lord, take me back to 'A'

'A'....is for apple

To simpler times and simpler rhymes


No not that I want to go back to my childhood

I just want to be understood

(and to understand)


Teach me again your bare truths

For I am too obtuse

I complicate my daily life

For letting the Devil win with strife


What's in my heart I can not speak

Or lack the knowledge or technique

Lord, teach me your humble ways

Take me back to letter 'A'
