Losing Me Poem by Alan Okopa

Losing Me

It's this hazy path I tread on, filled with different foot prints.
So many walk past but only memories prink by in different costumes,
In this hazy maze of foot prints I realize there is so much I didn't know,
As the mist clears before my eyes it's a waste land I see ahead, filled with all that I dread,
Now memories I hold close crush down on my only standing dreams,
All am left with is the unknown that lies ahead, now my feet start to give way.
If I stumbled and fell would someone come to my rescue now that all I thought I had fades away,

All that life thought it gave me is striped and taken away, lies now seemreality,
My haters now race closer to all I thought was my reality, it's a fight am losing with no clarity.
Now the roar of evil is heard in the distance, it's not a lot am left to fight for just my sincerity.
Howis that the top of the world is so beautiful but nowhere to fall.

It's evil and pain that I feel dragging me, andsolittle I did to change all this.
Now the past haunts, Like a headless knight in the cold misty night.
I miss all I thought I had, wish I could relive those days but it's so little I can change.
Now that the evil swallows me like quick sand.
If only I knew how I gat dragged into all this I would hold tight to this thread,
The sun now looks over the sky bright and strong and all I cherish wilts,
My screams are drowned by the whirling winds it's a lot lost as my voice turns hoarse.
