Losing The Land Poem by Oscar Clarke

Losing The Land

As I look into the night sky of the countryside
I feel the real beauty that lies within
I perceive a sacred land that does not discriminate
its only purpose is to procreate.

Imagine lying there
Not being scared
as the euphoria glides throughout your frame
You realize life is but a repetitious game.

But the land is being destroyed with the gun of urbanization
Shot at with a bullet of an evolving nation
We are warned of the harm we cause
Some countries even making laws
But our government still ignores.

This is a disgusting sight
The lands original caretakers wish they had won the fight
We are losing our unbelievable land
to the powerful men’s hands.
