Lost Poem by DM W

Lost

I seek the light, but I trapped in a dark cave
Of fleeting desires and illusions.
I seek a place of tender sanctuary,
But I cannot find the keys to the kingdom.
I seek Christ's love in other fragile beings,
But I only see the worst aspects of them.
I seek heaven through simple acts of kindness,
But I'm still distracted by Babylon
