Lost Poem by Lisa Knipe

Lost

Now that he's gone,
You're going to need me more,
He was the one to put a smile on your face,
Yet his not being here has pricked a tear.

It hurts to see you cry,
So let me be the one to replace the smile,
I will never replace him, nor will anyone,
He was who you looked up to,
But you can look to me for a shoulder,
That's what I'm here for.

As you told me,
He's not gone, he's still here,
Not in human form,
But his spirit will watchin' over you,
As I'm not with you in person.

I wish I could be,
But you know I'm only a phone call away,
Soon we shall meet again,
Don't know where, Don't know when,
Until then stay strong, for him and for me
