Lost - Poem by lesley herrera
Waking up lost. No feeling.
The world keeps turning.
Alone in the middle, motionless.
Never thought of, never being missed
Tired. Tired of being tired!
Heart of stone
.Hot tears roll like a wild river out of control
Looked for love. Found something untrue.
Comfortable, stayed, scared to leave
Shiny glimmer, peaking through the window shade.
Grabbed the ray of hope. Escaped. Found love.
Too good to be true?
Heart beating, thoughts ignored.
