Lost And Found

Rating: 5.0

I found you where I left you crying on my front porch not knowing what to do
I feel an ache in my stomach over you still being love sick
I find our love in the mist, sweet like the way we kissed
I find your heart in the back of the theatre of our first date it's the one place I'm beginning to hate
I found our first time having sex in your bed going back there I remember all the dumb things we said
I found your smile at the place we first met now I wish my memories had a button to reset
I found your voice on my answering machine still haven't found the time to go through it and make it clean
I found your laugh when I was with our friend not even they could see the end
I find your eyes staring back me in a photograph cant erase a single piece of you even when I take a bath
I found your last words on a birthday card, why is moving on so hard?
Maybe I'm searching for stuff that wont be returned, do you still go out at night and yern?
I haven't found myself its lost in the memories of someone else
Lost on you, lost on love, lost in the memories we shared
I don't know when I'll find what I'm looking for

Sometimes an impulsive break up becomes a painful memory, regrets always keep restless, and restlessness nicely penned in the poem.
