I never imagined it would end

I tried so hard to prevent my deep down pain

I made mistakes again and again

I wasn't ready to love my best friend


I treated her wrong, I caused her pain

I wasted her time, I wasn't a man

Now I must face the fact

I was afraid to love my best friend


She brought me joy, she brought me pain

She showed me love, she helped me feel alive again

She said goodbye, she said its the end

It was my fault, I take the blame

I wasn't ready to love my best friend


She won't see me to ease the pain

She's moving on, she's searching fame

Hollywood is calling out her name

I can't forget, I can't pretend

I hope one day to reunite with my lost best friend!
