Lost Doing My Own Thing Poem by Singleton M. Tate

Lost Doing My Own Thing

How many times must I find myself here...
At this very same 'Avenue of Utter Dissatisfaction'
My home away from home for the past 30 years.

I can't make me see... What it is I am supposed to be...
Deep within this vault... that has been vacant without a Resident
Emptied of any resolution... Coming to no Conclusion about my Life.

Fighting a demon... that is holding me in this...
Stagnate Absolute...
Cold... as Knowledge evades my brain cells...
It's the place I call... Hell on Earth...
Since my birth... Speaking without Seeking
The Divine Plan.

I 'm Lost Doing My Own Thing... Within this far away...Distant Land.

Man... What a blast... as I have certainly been... Blessed to have Survived this long... Without a real 'Victory Song'
Who will ever see... What I was created to be? Without the 'Key'
I'm without 'True Destiny' Falling prey to anything... on any given day.

I sway to the Rhythm of this... 'Strange Drummer' What a bummer...
Can anyone... Feel Me? See the dream an... 'Illusion of Captivity'

Set Me Free...
So,
I won't...
...Keep getting...
Lost Doing My Own Thing
...until Eternity!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I like the style works for me. Good poem, strong message. Self discovery is the most difficult voyage in life. Keep traveling, good hunting. If your interested in a complete reversal poem of self-discovery, read, Blackheart City. Sharp and cutting edge.
