Lost Gateway Poem by Davina Vanessa Rivas

A world hidden from books
Unknown to the world called earth
A place of darkness and lonesomeness
A gateway between heaven and hell
I have no room to move
I am surrounded by nothingness
A rock that floats in mid air
I look above me and see angels singing prayers
And look below me and see demons
Demons torturing poor souls
Who have lost there faith
Who have given up the fight
Every minute I have I pray
To be forgiven for my sins
Praying to float closer to the gates of heaven
And prove the devil he has no power
Over a soul like mine
Every day I float closer to the angels
Closer to hear them call my name
Until one day the darkness disappears
And a bright light comes over me
Blinding me, covering my eyes
To see an image appear through the clouds
Then I realize it an angel
Welcoming me home the praying
And the fighting I did saved my soul
I have left the gateway between heaven and hell
And earn my place in heaven
For God believes in all his children
Who believe in him
