Lost Hearts Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Lost Hearts

Rating: 5.0

A lonely heart wanders
and feels out of kelter
dreams and ponders
seeking safe shelter

And when a heart weary
finds a an oasis of caring
It begins to see more clearly
and rejoices in sharing

When two hearts share
and friendship is planted
life feels a little more fair
and less disenchanted

There is a magic that grows
when two people care
and chance feelings to expose
in the troubles they share

Though troubles we cannot erase
Two hearts with the kindness they send
might replace sadness with grace
and spark broken hearts to mend
