Lost Identity Poem by Odnalor Tines

Lost Identity

Trampled down by simplicity
Cling to the cloak of conventionality
Disregarded freedom and rationality
Ignore the beauty of finding multiplicity

Dictated by higher authority
Puppet of his own soliloquy
Demotivated by the clipping eyebrows of society
Scared to step out of the boundary

Living a repetitive encounters everyday
No space to practice originality
Corrupted by tradition's hypocrisy
Leaving a defaced humanity

Criminals, rebels, lesbians and gay
At times are worthy of jealousy
Being identified as somebody
For having their own identity
