Sitting by a lagoon the busy Hyde Park,
Unfamiliar stares seclusion creeping the mind,
One figure forlorn memories rolling back,
Smiling wan face, lost in an unfamiliar place and time.
Tall structures a backdrop: a dreary space beyond,
Yet green trees - tall - giving life to what's around,
One figure stood out - obscure from a distance
Refuses to acknowledge a loved one encountered once.
Rolling along Hyde Park- forlorn lost souls
Trying to reach out for a fingertip in her mind,
A hand once warm with heart that truly enthralls
With love that's now in a distant place and time.
Unanswered questions of the past - elusive
Yet a wake-up call, images on a lagoon
Submerge forever carried away by a drone
Lost in a park memory forever beyond place and time.
