Wind And Water: Symbol Of Life Poem by Jona PoloRamirez

Wind And Water: Symbol Of Life

'God created air to give life, and water to sustain it.' J. Polo-Ramirez

Get on with our lives in two different worlds,
Mine in the slow lane, yours the brain gets drained.
The dangerous zones your footsteps trod:
A contrast to my slow-paced and caring world.

Wind and water the symbol of life;
Your world is the wind and mine is the water.
A soul set free and made to wander willfully,
Where the winds blow from beyond the horizon,
And the soft touch of the blissful breeze,
A comfort for two weary - yet peacefully searching spirits.

Their toes touching the afternoon ebb tide and
Wanting to get carried away, and in the midst
Of dawn - the touch of the cool morning breeze
Brings a bittersweet smile to that long walk by the lake.

The waves embracing the white beaches,
A beginning of convergence: two souls desiring to know
Hidden thoughts and an unanswered queries,
Grey clouds beyond the horizon, foretells a reason
Only the heart can know. Two souls set apart by a vast
Horizon - sunrise bespeaks the fate of their spirit.

The cycle of life; a rebirth, a beginning,
The circle of life forever unending,
The wind touches - the water in ripples,
A circle begins beyond the ocean of blue.
