Lost In Eternal Madness Poem by Gabriel Clark

Lost In Eternal Madness

Lost In Eternal Madness

Where am I,
How did I get here?
Lost.
That’s where,
Not here,
Not there,
Not even nowhere

I am my own Cheshire Cat,
Both leading yet misleading
I lead myself into the rabbit hole
Not out of curiosity,
Neither for the feel of adventure,
But to become lost.

I paint the roses red,
The knife as my paintbrush,
And the pallet are the enemies that bled.
I didn’t want to,
yet the roses looked perfect with red.

I came here to escape,
However in the result I led myself further into madness
As I fall Down the rabbit hole
Cheshire Cat tells me
'Only few find the way, some don't recognize it when? they do -some, don't ever want to.'
I never understand what that meant.
Maybe I never will.
