I Smile Poem by Gabriel Clark

I Smile

Rating: 4.0

I Smile

I want my mom,
I want my dad,
I want to cry,
But I can't.

I cry,
Tears flowing down my face,
like a river
I can’t stop crying,
But I’m not crying.

I smile and make everything seem like it’s ok
And deal with it,
But on the inside
I cry

You may find a smile on my face,
But if you look inside,
All you’ll see is a big frown.

Controlled emotions get ready to burst forth! What a brave person you are to weep within and smile without! Good poem!
