Lost In The Dark Poem by R. L. Allen

Lost In The Dark

Rating: 4.0

We'll find a place to go
Far off the beaten track where
Nobody knows
You'll take your old guitar
And we'll sing songs underneath the stars
And they'll wonder where we are
Calling out our names
While we get lost in the dark

We'll find a place to stay
A little lodge upon a hill
A million miles away
We'll build a house from stone
Paint the walls and call this house a home
And they'll wonder where we are
Calling out our names
While we get lost in the dark

Around the world we'll fly
You'll play your guitar as we lie
On sands untroubled by the rain
And we'll just forget about the next train
And they'll still wonder where we are
Calling out our names
As we're here together
Getting lost in the dark.

Part of the third stanza was written by a friend of mine (I thought it was important to mention) so that's why the rhyme's a little different from the rest of the poem.
