Lost In Who You Are Poem by Emma Pennington

Lost In Who You Are

Rating: 5.0

She is lost in her own mind.
She can't see why she is still here.
She can't think straight.
Everything is a blur to her.

Why does she think that everyone is staring at her?
Why does she think that she is being laughed at?
Why can't people see who she really is?
Maybe they don't know who she is.

She is scared of losing her friends.
She feels like she lost the battle.
She wants to be excepted.
But feels like she failed the test.

Bent and Broken she waits
And wishes someone would set her free.
She wants to know she's beautiful,
But she can't see that in the clouded mirror.

She wants someone to be there for her.
She's waiting and waiting.
She's crying out for help.
Can't anybody see that she's here?

I like your poem, real pain in your words. Sometimes you have to forget about what anyone else thinks, and concentrate on being yourself. Strong write. Thank you for sharing. Kindest Regards Slim. x.
