Lost It Poem by Ray Null

Lost It

twisted metal
busted glass
take each breathe
as it is my last
sirens whining
lights aflash
before my very eyes
I can see my past
lost in a battle
for wrong and right
a bad decision
to drive that night
I cant take back
all ive done
the war is over
and I have not won
lights go out
im growing cold
it seems so odd
cuz im not that old
how bad it hurts
to leave behind
my dear family
and friends of mine
I love you all
I know ill be missed
my whole life ahead
but I somehow lost it
