Lost Journey Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Lost Journey

The wise philosopher walks,
He walks confidently and successfully in the realm of progress,
It's only grandeur and splendour in his life that he sees in open eyes,
He is proud, very proud to think about himself,
Precious diamonds always pave the way for him,
He is the great king of the great realm.
All come to him with great elan and effusively praise his superior feat,
The renowned philosopher smiles and relishes everything with extreme peace and bliss,
It's really a dream world for him;
He soars and soars and reaches the highest pedestal,
It's then, only then he feels the greatest truth of life,
He sees in his vision the dark and deep fall from that acme
Which ends straight towards the hollow and futile cell
And that's everything about it.
The great philosopher is fully startled,
He can't believe his eyes,
"Is this the ultimate truth of life? "he asks himself anxiously,
"Yes, "the famous man gets the answer from his conscience;
What a tragedy!
In spite of such dazzling success throughout,
Life ends in such a trivial way,
Even the wisest philosopher fails to read this truth in his glorious time,
"Indeed life is a lost journey, "
He woefully laments at the end.
