Lost Love Poem by Roselyn A.M.

Lost Love

When the thoughts of you peep in one corner of my mind
There's a certain smile that surely I cannot hide
For I remember vividly I was a little silly that time
Though I was young and innocence was mine
I knew I was loved and I too was in love
Many things had changed
We have drifted apart
And behind those silvery clouds
Undeniably our love has died
I know it's better to forget the past
Bury the memories, whether it's good or bad
Curse that day when you broke my heart
‘Cause I know something wasn't right
But how could my brain be empty of that
You're the one who taught my heart
To love, to laugh, to care and to cry
The feelings that made me human and alive
So for now allow me to reminisce the past
Be it mine as my weapon to the battle of life
A mumbling reminder that I'm tough enough
Because I survived, I survived the hurt
