Loud Poem by Sammy Subway

Loud

The sound of the market, so loud and clear,
It makes me want to scream, and run out of fear.

The vendors and the shoppers, they chatter and shout,
Their voices are like nails on a chalkboard, I want to get out.

The drum they beat on and on, without end,
Is driving me crazy, my brain wants to mend.

The politicians that are always gasbagging,
Please shut up, for Ghana to start developing.

Ghana you are loud, you are bright, you are bold.
But sometimes, I wish you would just be quiet and hold.

But i know that i can't, i must stay here,
Because this is my home, and I love you so dear.

So i will learn to live with you noise,
Even though it's loud and contains a lot of ploys.

So let's raise a glass, to Ghana the proud,
And may we always find beauty in the loud.
