Love Poem by Viji Upad

I was sitting besides the pond,
on the bench, beneath the tree,
smelling the fresh air and looking at the swans,
and was wondering -

what can make my life as perfect as NATURE

I asked HER, what makes you so beautiful?
what makes you so wonderful that-
I forget myself sitting besides you?

SHE didnt say anything but,
'look around me' and became silent again.

I started looking around and around hoping to find the answer
I didnt find any until,
I saw the swans sway their necks, with the breeze, both together
and brush their cheeks against each other.

Then I asked myself again
what else can make my life as perfect as nature
what else can be more beautiful
what else can be more wonderful
than LOVE.....
