Love is sought by all, felt by many, and shown by few
It binds the wounds of the past and helps us get through
It gives us hope beyond measure and strength beyond compare
It takes the good with the bad and is never unfair
Love is the purest thing in the world, and yet the most corruptible
It spans the land and the sea and outlasts deaths timetable
It's the strongest thing there is, and yet so very delicate
So fragile that even words can break it
Love, though, is resilient
It needs no permission, no owners consent
To rise from the shards of a once broken heart
It is the glue that holds us together and can never be torn apart
Love makes us crazy, makes us do things not normal
Gives us unsurpassable courage to overcome any obstacle
It fights off all oppression, and perseveres under ban
Our love is our power, it's what makes us human.
